MTN Rwanda launches month long, “Yora Cash” promotion

•    Rwf 1million francs to be won each day by one lucky winner
•    Over 12,000 prize winners to benefit from the promotion

MTN Rwanda has launched a one-month promotion called ‘Yora Cash’ in which a lucky winner will walk away with Rwf1m (one million francs) every day during of the promo duration.  Other prozes including airtime will be awarded every day of the one month promotion.

Both MTN subscribers on post-paid and prepaid subscribers (per-second and MTN Zone) will benefit from this promotion The promotion is designed to reward consumers in ways that enriches all, irrespective of social status and to bring excitement to the market.

How does one participate in promo?

To participate in the promo a customer will have to make a call, send an SMS or register his/her number. Basically any activity on one’s number makes one eligible for participation. The more calls made or text messages sent the higher points you get and therefore higher chances to win one of the prizes.

How long will the ‘Yora Cash’ promotion last?

The ‘Yora Cash’ promo started on Monday (27th of May 2013) and will last for 4 weeks.

How many people will benefit from this promotion?

During the four weeks MTN will give away prizes worth over Rwf50 million. Over 12,000 cash prize winners will benefit from it.

300 airtime winners every day receiving 500rwf airtime each, that’s 9000 winners in total
100 cash prize winners every day, receiving 5,000rwf each, that’s 3000 winners during in total
1 winner every day receiving 1 million rwf, that’s a millionaire every day for 30 days!

How does the promotion work?

‘Yora Cash’ is a point based promotion and winners will be announced after a daily draw in different communication channels including TV, radio, print and social media.  A subscriber will make a call/ SMS or register their SIM card and earn points for each action. All the points a participant earns shall be cumulative for the day.
